At least I don't have to worry about an ice storm keeping me from this one.

I've always wanted to get into this series and this is as good a reason as any. $15 is a bit steep, though. Also I've never heard of Azoland Pictures.

By the first post I take it that you're going. Did you get your ticket? If so, what spot?

I do mean to go. Although I seem to have mostly gone off my slice-of-life/rom-com/melodrama phase, I did enjoy the series. I haven't gotten a ticket yet.

Besides, at some point I'm going to have to get over my apprehensions about trying to get around downtown.

It's not so hard getting to, just finding parking is a challenge. If you park a few blocks away, you might find street parking for free, otherwise you will pay another 10-20 dollars to park. You should continue your Slife of LIve phase, and watch Saekano: How to raise a boring girlfriend (not to be confused with Saikano/She the ultimate weapon)

Well if I read my calendar right this is anime actually shown on a Saturday?! I might be able to go.

But as I read the anime plot/synopsis it is about moe girls trying to save their school from certain financial disaster. Through music? I'm thinking I've already seen Jake & Elwood Blues do this back in 1980.

I will probably go anyway.

Besides, at some point I'm going to have to get over my apprehensions about trying to get around downtown.

I'll drive.

Edit:

Hells Bells. I guess I glanced at my cell phone calendar too quick. I see the 12th is on a Tuesday. Clinic at Ft Scott for me.....

But, ooh, ooh, what about a cross-over? <Quick Google search> I did find a Blues Brothers fan fic site, but no cross-over with Love Live!. Plainly, a market to be served.

If it's any consolation, I checked 10 screens deep and didn't actually get a single Love Live! hit, which seems to me to imply that dozens of the most popular Blues Brothers sites all have gotten more hits than the most popular Muse site.

(As it happens, I've never seen The Blues Brothers.)

Yeah, they're not going to give a low-impact showing like this precious weekend screen time.

Well I have seen The Blues Bros several times. And the idea of a mash up between that movie & Love Live! is just mind boggling insane. I've been thinking about this ever since you posted this. I'm seeing a hybrid like Roger Rabbit.

K-on x Love Live makes more sense. Or Idol Master x Love Live

Whatever gave you the idea cross-overs are about making sense? I'm talking high concept here!

I presume this requires familiarity with the series to appreciate?

Probably. It's a big cast with distinguishing traits that you'd have to know to appreciate. The history between Muse and A-RISE might matter too, though I doubt it.

Though, it's not Tolstoy. The nuances aren't likely to be hard to deduce from context. Still, there have been movies I ruled out because I didn't know the background, so I can't argue.
