Read N-K's e mail reminder before I got out of bed. Read your post at breakfast. Don't need to be told a third time.... Done & registered!

Good man! You'll be so happy with yourself when Naka-time comes around.

Only about six weeks to go. Guests announced so far are Monica Rial from adv, Michelle Ruff from Funi(?), couple dudes from the evil bastards who have had a stranglehold on all things Macross for like 30 years, Harmony Gold  :D , and an all female metal band Destrose https://naka-kon.com/guests/2014/destrose

I don't mind. It gives me an excuse to skip Comiccon besides having to explain to people that I think for-profit cons are crap, which no one seems to understand.

Didn't someone try that with some anime cons several years ago? I remember there was one in St Louis but it didn't last more then a year or two

I'll be attending Planet Comic-con instead. I wish I could attend both, but the Star Trek: The Next Generation cast attending Planet Comic-con cinched it for me. I have front row center seats for the 'Trektacular" event on Sunday as well.

The con is going to be my bachelorette party. I suppose if it gets lame, I can get a day pass to Naka-con.

Oh by the way guys, I got into medical school. :)
University of Nebraska Medical Center. I'll be doing a Summer program there and then return to Kansas for my clinical rotations. Maybe I'll actually have the ability to be a more active member once this is all over.

Congrat's on med school. That's pretty cool. It's a shame we're not likely to see you at Naka-Kon this year but Comic-con has a pretty good tractor beam going this year so I can't do much more than waggle my brows in a judgmental fashion towards your general direction. Have fun and good luck in Nebraska!

I know, I know..."for profit cons."

My friend Alex Grecian will also be at the con signing autographs so I gotta go pester him.

Hey now, that's Matt's hangup, not mine. Can't a guy just get in a good brow-waggling now and again? It's tough to prioritize between two things you're really looking forward to, I know. We feel your pain since t's almost as difficult as coming to terms with the fact that we're not important enough to spend your weekend with. T~T

j/k Go have a hell of a bachelorette party and whatnot! High-five the TNG crew for me while you're there too.

Really. Tim's got more than enough problems (sloppy brow-waggling, for example) all on his own without saddling him with mine as well!

Super-gratz on med school; what an accomplishment!

So how are you going to shoehorn in the Gatekeeper job?

Looking forward to Naka-Kon 9 for me. In a rare stroke of good luck it looks like I can pick up my badge Thursday night. And.... I'm taking that Friday off work so I can attend the Friday events!

Pfft. Untrue. Let's have dinner together. :)

I will no longer be working at Gatekeeper after Free Comic Book Day in May. I will have been working there for almost 5 1/2 years by that point. :P
