The lines to get in are that long???!! :(

Ugh...and I have to buy my badge at the door, too. Maybe I should just ditch the rest of my classes and start driving up there... :\

I hope there is enough parking or I'm going to be out of luck.

Just got through the line. Convention signs point to hotel for registration but there are no obvious signs when you get there. Reg is on the main floor at the end of the walkway by the lobby.

Line ahead of me was about 18 people but took over 25m to go through so roughly 1.5m a person. It'll be quite a wait if that holds true during the evening crush. The no-prereg line, however was only 3 people deep.

A lot of dealers in Other Stuff, particularly t-shirts.

A Soul Eater was about the third costume I saw, a Franken Stein. Tim said he saw about a half-dozen Makas, but I only saw one.

Just got back home - I had a lot of fun! :)

I was able to get everyone's autograph! The guests were all super nice, and Greg Ayres let me listen to portions of an unreleased (and will never be released) English OST for Beck.

I was able to find a copy of Bakemonogatari, got some t-shirts for me and my man, a Red-haired Pirates ship model (also for the man), a creeper head from Minecraft, some plastic pixel art for my wall and fridge, and loads of cute hair clips.

Thanks again for meeting me for lunch, guys. That was fun. :)

I kept telling myself, you don't need any more figures right now, you have no shelf space. *gives vendor card* yeah, I should not be buying anything, but I will. Oh, and I couldn't resist this purchase either

Tim, I'll expect to find a full precis of the "Symbolism of Soul Eater" panel in the morning.

Thanks to many folk for being such good company! Good to see you all.

Let me also mention that I watched two episodes of Katanagatari and think it worth further attention. It has a funky, simple art style appealed to me and brought some cleverness to a "fight of the week" show.

What, you don't want to hear about my hair clips???

Nah - not too much to tell about that. The Anime Pavilion booth had the set for 20% off - it ended up being about what TRSI charges for it. I bought it because of the convenience of it being in the same place I was. And since I got it at my first convention, it's "special" now, I guess.

One of the vendors had the OreImo BR set. All 329 dollars worth. I broke down and bought the DVD set because it was 20% off.

I don't buy much at cons but I managed to find some live-action movies I wanted for cheap plus got one gift movie from a friend

-Happiness of the Katakuris
-Nana movie 1 & 2
-Cruel Restaurant (this was the gift, I anticipate it being a erotic horror. I can't wait! haha)
