Will there be a launch party again from Tim's Enchanted Keep?

Pre and post depending on the consensus here. Schedule's not up just yet but I'm hoping we can make it back early enough for us to all hang out.

As this was my first and favorite Kansas City event with ASKC, I am definitely excited about it.
I feel like I've gotten to know everybody pretty well over the last year, and I can't wait to hang out again at Jfest.

The web site has been somewhat updated (although the traditional musical performances still feature sumo wrestlers).

A performer named Aya Uchida is scheduled to appear. She's only listed as a "pop singer," though she's done quite a bit of voice work the last few years too. Nothing I recognized as having been released here, though, unless the Haruhi Suzumiya movie was.

I think they're missing a bet not promoting her as seiyuu as well as idoru.

Freezing, and Occult Academy I believe have both been released by Funi. Yumeiro Patissiere, Yuruyuri, Kiddy Girl and, Mitsudomoe, and Recorder and Ronsdell (the lovable story of a 5th grader who looks 25 and constantly gets arrested by misunderstanding police), and Rio Rainbow Gate have all been on Crunchyroll. Kind of interesting though, minor as her parts be, has Naka Kon ever had any Japanese VA guests?

Close, but that's the wrong Uchida Aya. One is a VA/singer, the other is a virtually unknown (no offense, but you don't have a wiki page) singer. Same last name, but different writing for first name (彩 vs. あや).

I was pretty excited about this, but then looked at their blogs and it showed the difference. I was all ready to watch Kiddy Girl -and just to ask some questions. At least I avoided having to do that. I did learn about Love Live and their upcoming series, so it looks like some more idol-themed crap-ass anime for 2013. Regardless, looking forward to JPNFest.

No, Naka-Kon has not had a Japanese VA yet.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I hadn't planned on buttonholing for her an autograph or anything, but it still could have been embarrassing somehow.

Wow! Lot's goin on this year! I can't describe how excited I'm getting for this.
For my language class I'll have to help out with a short workshop at about 3, but otherwise just about any of this I'd be willing to check out.
If I remember correctly, last year we only caught the end of the Strings Performance, but it seemed pretty good.

Oh, the sidewalks are done for the most part so we can walk there comfortably again. Our options are to meet at my place around maybe 10:30ish and we can either storm Minsky's before hitting the event or, more likely the popular vote, go straight to the festival and have lunch in the museum. If the consensus is to catch the taiko drum concert again this year and we opt for the earlier one then we can probably leave the fest early enough for Matt to stiff us at the restaurant of our choice and catch some anime at the casa. I'll try to have some goodies on hand for whoever plans to hang out.

Why not eat the food that is available at the festival? I can't remember if it's pricey or not. Hopefully I'll meet up with you guys, I'll be arriving with another group around 11.

That's what I had suggested for lunch in my previous post. It's a bit pricey and has been rather hit-or-miss to have made a tradition of eating two major meals a day there so typically dinner has been at a known quantity like Minsky's or other nearby restaurant.
