This the operation up in Minnesota? Looks pretty respectable.

Tim, at least "Nerdhaven" has the virtue of sounding kind of crypto-Scandinavian, which gets you Vikings, Valkyries, Norse gods, etc. I say you should go for it: there aren't many ways of losing your shirt that are more fun.

(Heh. First time I typed "Nervhaven".)

Darn, I was trying to go for the sweet spot between Western Europe ("Nerdhomme") and Scandinavian ("Nerdhalla"). Of course an NGE-centric store would have to be "Nerv Center".

Where is your home town? More importantly did you go inside?

I am sick and tired of so many sports bars. They are everywhere with nothing to watch on TV but, you know, sports. Jock customers in (pick any team) ball caps swilling Bud light & yelling as idiots chase a ball back & forth. Obviously this town needs a Geek bar. Something sharp & eclectic. My fantasy would be to have a place named "The Progress Bar."

Geek bars/gamer bars seem to be a Next Big Thing. My peeps back home in San Diego are chortling in delight over the one they're getting; H. P. Lovecraft-themed bars seem to be popping up all over, for some reason. And a lot of places have at least geek/game nights. I guess those trivia contests were the camel getting its nose in the tent.
