B&N's annual Criterion sale

Postby bakamatt » Wed Jul 12, 2017 8:42 am

Barnes and Noble is having their annual 50% off sale on Criterion Collections editions, Blu-Rei and DVD, available both online and brick-and-mortar.

Since 50% off is the price point at which I'll consider shelling out for Criterion, this is an event I pay attention to. And if you've been wanting to complete your Akira Kurosawa library (all, what, 30,000 movies he made  ), or pick up their Lady Snowblood collection (which, dammit, I'm going to get around to watching some day), this is the time.

We watched their release of Rashomon on my laptop taking the train out to San Diego last winter. Kind of a fun way to do it.

Thank you again for the annual reminder. I've traditionally waffled until the sale is over but I intend to commit to some of the core Kurasawa must-haves at the very least.
