Greetings, friends!

Postby Jimmyp » Mon May 20, 2013 2:35 pm

Hello, Everyone!

I'm not sure why I never checked to see if there was a local forum for manga, anime, etc. but better late than never!
I have been in KC most my life aside from living on the west coast for a bit.

I have attended Naka-Kon regularly for the past 4 years but other than that I have yet to visit any other conventions.
I watch a number of different genres, but as far as some of my favourites:
(English/US release titles)

Fullmetal
Initial D
Cowboy Bebop
Ghost is the shell
FLCL
Chobits
Akira
Nana
Dirty Pair
Demon City Shinjuku
Bubblegum Crisis (I also enjoyed bubblegum crash and tokyo 2040)
(THIS LIST COULD GO ON FOR QUITE SOMETIME SO I WILL STOP HERE)

As for more recent stuff:
Sword art online
Kuroko's Basketball
Durarara
Space Brothers
Wagnaria
YuruYuri
My Ordinary Life
Mangirl!
My Little Monster
Say I Love You
Ixion Saga DT
Tsuritama
Kotoura-San
Anohana
YUYUSHIKI
Gargantia
Attack on titan

Some of my other interests include Blogging, playing music, cars (80's-90's imports, drifting) and motorcycles (mostly cafe and sport bikes)

Glad to be a part of the community!

Welcome to the club JimmyP. Man, just last night I was looking at my shelf and Bubblegum Crisis caught my eye and I remember thinking to myself, "wow, it was so huge back in the day but you hardly ever hear anyone talk about it anymore." Glad you're keeping the spirit alive! ;D

Thanks man!

Seriously though, I tend to make my friends watch a lot of 80's and 90's stuff.

Haha, yep. Gotta make 'em at least a little aware of the roots of all this stuff. Plus the 80s and 90s have such different things to offer.

Welcome, Jimmyp. I can't say I've got a lot of overlaps with your favorites, but that is a respectable range of styles and genres.

Admit it, though. You just signed up because you saw the posting for the anniversary party.

You got any thoughts about the new Fiat 500? I still kind of wish I'd gotten one the last time I bought a car, and then put vanity plate LUPIN 3 on it.

Thanks for posting.

What's up Jimmy? It's Collin, remember me? I met you back in the day through D Fintel and the other Metcalf Coyotes. You probably would remember me better by my cars:

Anyway, glad to see you joined here too. Looks like were into a lot of the same old-school stuff.
