It'd be nice to have Dragon Half on something besides videocassette. And I might have to get Mazinger Z too.

In those days the VCR was still hooked up, instead of gathering dust in a corner. I recently bit the bullet and actually threw out my videocassettes of the first Patlabor OVA, now that I have the disk release, even though their spines made one of those cute composite pictures.

Rayearth is such an odd property. Silly as can be at the start, does this amazing job of getting more serious in such a sneaky way that you don't even notice (though never very serious), and then you find out What's Really Going On and it's as twisty a surprise ending as I've ever seen anywhere.

Robot Carnival yatta!!!

My fear is always that anthologies will get lost in the rush to license the biggest contemporary hits. Thank goodness Diskotek has our backs!

Not Discotek, but Sentai is releasing the original Vampire Hunter D on BR and DVD. I think I still have my VHS copy laying around somewhere. http://www.sentaifilmworks.com/shows/vampire-hunter-d
