I hear they remastered the video for Project A-Ko. I wonder if they're doing the same for the rest of their lineup. I think I've got about half of their releases but they're so quiet that I've clearly missed more than a few.

I'm pretty stoked about Cutey Honey and Mazinger Z; those were part of my earliest exposure to American anime fandom, circa 1983. Though it must be conceded that they're likely to suffer quite a bit from how early they are; I suspect nostalgia will only carry me so far. I can't imagine marathoning either of them.

I'm stoked about Mad Bull coming out on my birthday! It's so cool that North America has a company like Discotek that's actually interested in making some of the true classics available to fans.

Don't know about Mazinger never heard of it. Of course then there's Cutey Honey. I have that on an ADV DVD collection 1 & 2. Is that the same material that Discotek is releasing? This 5.1 and looks quite good. Watched these a few years ago & loved every second. I certaintly understand how it could have quite an impact in someones formative anime years.

Like Mazinger never heard of it but I searched on Goodle & it looks really interesting. I mean at least the charecter art work. Something to scratch that City Hunter itch?
To watch Anime is life. All else is merely waiting.

I believe what got licensed here was New Cutey Honey, not the original series that Discotek has licensed.

Their news release said it was the original TV series from 1973. New Cutey Honey was an OVA from 94

Sorry, your post was confusing. Who licensed New Cutey Honey?
